DISTRICT 32 UPDATES
Feb. 21, 2021
The Guidebook for Great Communities (The Guidebook) has gone through several iterations. The updated Guidebook will be brought forward to City Council on March 22, 2021. Council’s hearing will include an opportunity for public comments, so citizens can speak “for”, or “against” the updated guidebook. Following the public hearing, members of Council will vote on whether to adopt The Guidebook. If ratified, the document will become a “statutory planning document”.
In preparation for the Council meeting on March 22, The Federation of Calgary Communities will host “town hall” sessions, to hear and understand various viewpoints, identify outstanding gaps and propose solutions to City Council. “The Federation” will analyze feedback from the town halls, balance the feedback with good planning practice, to reflect the community voice when we present to Council in March.
The updated Guidebook introduces new rules for Limited Scale Residential Intensity, and may affect areas within our community
Representatives of Palliser Bayview Pump Hill Community Association are scheduled to participate in the “town hall” meeting on Tuesday, March 9th ; 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
