PBP President's message
Thank you to everyone that attended our February Annual General Meeting.
Considering the year, the Palliser, Bayview, Pumphill Community Association managed to finalize several projects. We completed the building of our Rink Shack, named and dedicated it as “Melrose Place”. Cal Melrose our Maintenance Director turned 90. (never to late to volunteer). We elected a new Board Member. The Palliser, Bayview, Pumphill finances continue to be solid. Thank you to the Community Board Members for their time, dedication, and enthusiasm.
Students from the University of Calgary’s School of Architecture are working with
our Civics Director on a placemaking project for our community.
Placemaking looks at unused spaced or underutilized space and remakes the space into
useable space. A community garden, community signage, or even a type of traffic calming are all the kinds of projects that Placemaking involves. We are excited to work with the students, hear their creative ideas, and see how a space can be redefined.
A Big Shout out to our rink volunteers. You hard work is much appreciated.
Keeping the rink cleared, leveled and just going out in this winter weather
is incredible. Merci Beaucoup.
The PBP is always looking for neighbours to volunteer.
A smile is magic!
